No Sex at E3

“Naughty America: The Game” is an MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online). It’s a new twist in the dating community. Its players have real profiles and meet other people all around the world. They can play loads of entertaining mini games and explore all kinds of different features. Also, there’s a combined in-game chat. Basically: it’s dating (with real people) online. You can do pretty much anything you want, even have sex with other players. The game is fantasy, yet, reality at the same time.

The game has been getting tons of media coverage, but its makers have hit a bit of a road bump. The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), the industry’s largest tradeshow, has banned the game from this year’s event. They claim the game as being “adult content” and not suitable for the show. Some are outraged as, for years, very violent games have made it into the show. Noah Dudley, President of Eight Legs, Inc., the company overseeing the design and development of the title said:

“It’s the next step in social networking and online matchmaking. It’s certainly not intended for everyone, but then again neither are a number of the titles featured at the show.”

The game launches this summer.
